Making mosaics is like putting a puzzle together that doesn’t quite fit!

It all begins with an idea and a large selection of different types of tesserae or mosaic pieces. My approach to building mosaics is painting the image on the substrate or mosaic base piece as a template and then cutting and placing the mosaics on the painting. Gluing and grouting come next. It’s a process that is not mysterious or magical, but rather technical!
