The scale of this project, requested, proposed, and built, was certainly ambitious!
This was one of my first residencies in Arts in Health. Many thanks to South Dakota Arts Council, Creative Care, LLC, the Sanford Care Center, Vermillion, Dakota Hospital Foundation, and Dakota Gardens for their invaluable support. “Together…We Comfort” is a 6’ x 4’ permanent mosaic sign created by the residents, tenants, and staff. Even working during COVID, together we comforted each other, met new friends, learned a new skill, and artfully continued our daily lives. This will be one to remember.
